Squashing Passion

Reverb10 Prompt:  Writing. What do you do each day that doesn’t contribute to your writing — and can you eliminate it? (Author: Leo Babauta)

Time, space, squashing my passion — THAT’S IT!  Squashing my passion.  I know what feels good and what gets me in the flow, but like most people I know, doing the stuff that pays the bills and runs life gets in the way.  Kids need to get to school, clients have needs, I want to cram every “doing” thing I have in the hours between 8am – 2pm when the kids are at school.  It’s not working so well.

I know all the stuff about how if you follow your passion life everything falls into place.  Heck, I’ve even experienced it.  I’m re-learning, and Reverb10 is helping a lot.  Writing is becoming my priority again….and I’m intending for that to be how I start each day in 2011!

About Teri Johnson

I have been a life coach and meditation teacher since 1999. More importantly, for me, I have had the pleasure of being a mom for 20 years. But what really defines me is my passion for living an authentic life. I have a friend who calls me "Buddhist with and edge." I'm not a practicing Buddhist, but it sums up my approach to life quite nicely. Thank you for stopping by and ENJOY!
